Educational Standards

The program represents an investment of money as well as the time and personal effort required to succeed. Thus students can reasonably expect certain standards in the course and in the way they are treated as fee paying students.

The kind of expectations that the Institute seeks to meet include the following:

  • The timetable will be set by the start of the first semseter, with any necessary changes kept to a minimum.
  • The educators treat students with respect, supporting the learning process of both individuals and the group.
  • Educators have at least 5 years academic experience and 10 years experience in private practice.
  • Educators adhere to a professional code of ethics.
  • Students are not discriminated against on the basis of gender, class, cultural background, sexual preference, or any disability or belief that does not directly interfere with fulfillment of their training.
  • Within each academic year there are no ë hidden costs ' . All financial requirements are spelled out at the start of each year.
  • Any public or extra workshops offered by East Coast Gestalt will be available to students at discounted prices.
  • The program is constantly evolving to incorporate feedback, current best practice, developments in the discipline, the demands of the workplace setting, and the standards of accrediting organisations.

East Coast Gestalt provides a library of relevant books, articles and tapes which is available for students to join. There are over 1,500 items available, and these are added to each year. You can view the entire library catalogue here>>>
