Accreditation

The Graduate Diploma of Gestalt Therapy is accredited with GANZ (Gestalt Australia and New Zealand). Graduates are eligible for professional membership of GANZ. Students are entitled to become student members.

The course is also designed to substantially meet the criteria for College Membership of the Psychotherapy And Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Conditionally registered psychologists can apply to their principal supervisor for approval of the Gestalt course as counting towards 20 hours of their required supervision time.

The course has been assessed as a Continuing Medical Education activity, and allocated 50 points per year. (CME point allocation is not guaranteed and is subject to review by the RACGP). This provides an added benefit for any medical personnel wishing to improve their counselling skills.

Both the institution and the course are accredited with the Department of Education, and East Coast Gestalt is recognised as a Higher Education Provider. The core course is offered as a Graduate Diploma of Gestalt Therapy. Graduates from this course may apply to do a Masters of Counselling (Gestalt Therapy), either through East Coast Gestalt, or through other Gestalt centres such as Brisbane or Melbourne.
